Can agree with what Druze said. I can tell you for a fact that I've lost way more kills to explosive arrows than it's gotten me kills. A lot of donators want a way to disabls this perk, since it doesn't deal knockback with a direct hit. So if you're bridging with cobble and I shoot you, you wont move at all.

As Ankh said, we often lose kills rather than gain them, however, the only real benefit I've gotten from them is when people bridge using dirt since hitting the dirt destroys them. I see where your frustration coming from, but considering players don't take knockback when hit directly lowers the number of kills they get. If you don't want to be killed by the bows, I suggest you bridge with cobblestone, since it can't be destroyed without TNT blocks or a pickaxe.

I completely agree with Ankh, I've lost too many kills because the player just didn't take any kb. It would be great if they made it so you can toggle the explosive arrows.

 

Just stop bridging with dirt and put on armor when the game starts. Explosive bows are SUPER easy to counter
