I need peoples ideas for new events for skyblock. We do not want to just slap Lms or Koth onto skyblock and call it good. We want something different and new. Or just a different twist of Koth. Maybe Koth on a 20x20 island? I would like to know your thoughts below.
Does it have to be a pvp event? If so, maybe you could have something similar to skywars, but skyblock themed. Since anyone can just join and play skywars anytime, though, there should be more added. Perhaps withers are spawned, and the main goal is to stay on an island and not fall into the void, while pvp and arrows are enabled, and the last one standing wins. If you're not looking for a pvp event, maybe you could also add some party games, or a random party game event (where it chooses one out of a list of party games). Some examples would be like 4 corners, which is a popular player-hosted game on skyblock, or spleef, paintball, etc. It would be nice to see an official event put in periodically. Maybe you could add a dodgeball event, where colored wool represents a ball, and you left click to throw it in the direction you're looking at. The winner would be whoever has the most points, maybe a point could be given every time someone tags a player out, or catches a ball. My idea is that a moving ball could be like an invisible armor stand with a visible colored wool block on its head, moving fast in the direction it was thrown. To catch a ball, maybe the player has to right click it before it hits them. This might be hard to code, though, especially if the balls don't move in a linear direction. Idk, these are all random ideas to start with, and would probably need a lot of improving if you choose to implement one.
imo put some pvp event but don't rely on it, you could try putting a parkour race thing or do a revamp on the /is challenges thing to make them both harder and with better rewards.
Hello! I have some ideas to suggest. As you all know, there are people who like PvP events, and there are also people who prefer to play non-PvP events. So, I tried to come up with 2 ideas for events that could be hosted on SkyBlock. They've probably been brought up before at some point, but these are events that I'd love to see on MCCSB. This event would pretty much focus on fair PvP fights, and whoever fights the best wins. People would do /warp gladiator, or just /gladiator, and they would have an arena where they could see other people fighting as it would be 2v2 rounds (they'd have the chance to spectate), as the plugin would randomly choose 2 players to fight against each other, and then people who die would just be declassified, until there were only 2 players remaining to fight for the 1st place. The parkour event shouldn't be hard to be made. There'd be a /warp parkour or just /parkour so the players could be teleported to a waiting lobby, until the event starts. When it does, they'd be teleported to a map where they'd need to complete certain parkour levels, and the top 5 would be classified to the final, where there would be a more complicated one for them to complete and finally get the reward. I think a great idea is to add the old boss back. I really miss using my own gear to get boss it led to a lot of good fights and battles but if you guys did add koth to sb it would serve the same purpose. I do like the idea of koth but making some twists. Personally ive only been in a koth once on factions and it was just an all out brawl but I think a cool twist would be if an island wanted to be involved in the koth they could take only 5 members from the island to participate so islands that happen to have 10 people on couldn't just take over and win everytime because there are some strictly pvp islands it would be unfair to just let the people that happen to have the most on be winners. I see how this idea could have issues ex. alt islands but I think there are ways around it. I do like the gladiator idea above me but like for team duels but with there own gear for a bigger prize. There could be 2 and they could be called for example "kit" matches where the server provides gear or there could be like "kitless" where you bring your own and fight that way. The kitless should return peoples amour back to them at the end in my opinion because there are many ways to lose stuff already. I do like the lms idea too. I also think the idea of island payouts would be good because I have been is top 1 numerous of times and would like to see a reward for my hard work (other then the fun of playing sb which I love). Another idea ive thought about which isn't as interactive is the idea of doing like a showcase in spawn that shows all past sb top 1-3 islands and teams if those records are available. I think the idea of points and tokens should be taken away I know it helps with people becoming over powered but still late season the idea is to use your spawners to gain even more not still having to farm because after 5 months it seems repeatitive. LMS and a Koth but with the koth have it so your island has a team name and your island can try and take koth and armour from immortal gets pushed up to p3 and s3? It would take 2 sets to make p4 so that people are not getting p4 in one day
Ok another idea: put the #1 island in an arena with p10 u10 and s8 swords vs the whole server with normal armor, last man standing wins
Hey there! I love the ideas of gladiator, parkour and spleef. maybe some kind of paintball game? skyblock style so people get snowballs/knockback snowballs to knock eachother off the islands/ or the colour/team with the most hits win. Sometimes on my island we do a Bear hunt, which is basically like an easter egg hunt and people seem to enjoy doing that a lot. so maybe a minigame like that would be good :) im very curious as to what other ideas people can come up with! Hello! I think Paintball would be an amazing idea! Maybe you could make a very hard maze, and the first 5 people to make it to the finish gets teleported to an arena for FFA match, and whoever wins that wins the prize! I would like to see what others ideas people will think of! 27JAS
Hey Unadvised, In skyblock there is 2 main events, Envoy and Boss. These events are ok, but there pretty much worthless unless you are a really low level (For envoy) and your good at pvping (envoy+boss) and relatively for the higher islands, like #1-25, they aren't used or necessary. So i believe an event like maybe a maze or something that leads to high loot chests, (Things can be won like things in Boss crates) and things like that would be very hard, and there would be 2 winners, and the other 3 in top 5 would get a $ prize like 100k - 15k or something. This would be something i would like to see implemented. It would be a maze, where the first 2 people to finish, step on a presure plate, and they get teleported to a space where it says "You Won! Congratulations!" This would be very cool in my opinion, and would be very fun even for everyone on skyblock!
