Hello! Okay so what i've noticed is that when you report someone for filter bypass in plot chat the report will be denied. However, I don't think there's even a reason for this. (if there is PLEASE let me know why !)I feel like it should be a punishable offence because now people can get away with calling people disrespectful words. and YES i do know that it would be considered player disrespect then, but STILL it gets denied even when directed towards another player. It's very frustrating when players get away with this.. if its allowed on plot chat then why not all over the server? ( not saying it should be ) I feel strongly that it should be punishable, otherwise it's simply letting players get away with breaking the rules. Please do take this into consideration. I believe plot chat actually doesn’t show up in chatreports. This would explain why your reports get denied. If you want somebody punished for what they’ve said in plot chat, you have to report them on the forums in order for them to be punished.
Hi Jane! Eyan is correct, staff members have a specific code when it comes to reporting for private chats. They can use SocialSpy to witness disrespect, filter bypass, etc through all the forms of private messaging, but it is not punishable unless it is reported on forums. Along with plot chat, you will also need to go the forums if you witness it in PM's, Party Chat, Guild Chat, Team chat, Gang chat, or any other forms of private messaging you witness. You will also need screenshot proof of the actual message to report it on the forums, so you cannot simply quote them or screenshot "evidence" where another player simply SAYS another player broke a rule through private messaging. They do not have to get away with this—a simple report on our forums will leave such players with appropriate punishments. You already have an account on the forums, @Jane , following these guidelines you can report without issues.
Players don't get punished for Filter Bypass in Plot Chat, Guild Chat, /msgf, because there is no chat filter. You can say any word you like and it will still send through your message. So when we see cuss words/inappropriate behavior in these chats we can punish for Explicit Convo or Disrespect depending on the situation.
