So I gave a rookie an 8 minute invisibility potion I made, and you cant see them at all in pvp. However, when I drink a potion from the same batch, I am transparent but not invis and you can see my name. Its really annoying. NO im not wearing armour. How do I fix it? Is it a glitch?
Hey there, I tried this with another player but there's no glitch. I will provide a screenshot so you can see it's totally the same! Maybe it was a visual glitch or something your texture pack caused. Try relogging or restart your game without any clients on so totally vanilla. If that does not work I recommend recording it and submit a bug report on the forums here: https://mccentral.org/community/forums/bugs/ However, I was in vanilla 1.8 and I can see rookies (their tag) even if they've used an invisible potion. I will attach a screenshot down below so you can also see for yourself! :)
I tested it today on both 1.12.2 and 1.8.9. The invisible effect seems fine in both versions. However, nametags work differently. Whether your nametag is visible or not actually depends on which version the viewer is on. If the viewer is on 1.12, then the nametag is also invisible. However, it is visible if the viewer is on 1.8. I hope this helps.
I had a similar problem. my friend MotorizedMoose and I went invisible together in PVP and I could see him but he was just slightly transparent and I usually play I 1.15.2 and I find that when I play some people are oblivious of me being there while others immediately spot me whether I'm crouching or not, so I think it's up to the version the other players are in. Kind of like the fishing rod glitch, the line is cast and but only players in 1.12 or under can see it. -Sky (Edit) Just noticed that AZ just said the same thing, oops.
I have already tried that. When rookies do it for me however i cant see the name tag. And when i ask others they say i am transparaent,
Try recording it and maybe from the video we can see what the issue is. Make sure you are 100% vanilla though, no mods and no texture packs. If you have uploaded the video (if you're able to record of course) we might figure out the issue from there.
