In most mini games many players deal with being targeted by many other players... Maybe we should have a /disguise plugin where it generates random names? This would prevent many players to not get targeted and have a better experience on MCC. Feature should be for donors only and also would benefit staff+youtubers.
Hey BabyJuice! I totally get where you're coming from but I do not believe this should be implemented into MCC but if it was ever added players would be able to cheat on a donor's account by continuing to switch their nick/IGN every game. Which in return would render video evidence here on MCC almost useless. Although you could make it only so staff members could check who has nicked to what IGN but it would without a doubt make the reporting process here on MCC a lot more time-consuming. But I do believe this should be added to Mod+ on MCC since they will be able to catch cheaters with current staff member knowledge without them leaving or logging off since they saw a staff. But they still can manage to check logs of who disguised as the random generated disguise so technically they wouldn't be able to get away with it lol
Hi BabyJuice, I have to say that in my experience I have seen many players being targeted by others, and I think this feature would improve their game play! I think that if you are Lapis Rank (or higher) or a staff member, you should have access to this command.
100% agree donors+staff would improve gameplay because targetting is still always gonna be an issue w/o this feature
I'm in support of this concept, but not under the conditions you're suggesting. I only see purpose in this feature being added if it's for staff only. There is literally no reason at all for the public to have access to this type of feature, for reasons listed above already. Whether it generates a random ign or an already existing one, this is something that isn't necessary for the public to have, and I only see benefit in adding this for staff members, and maybe Youtuber rank. I can confirm though that this is something that's considering being added (read unadvised's reply here) however I can't confirm that it'll be under the conditions you're wishing for.
But also I strongly think that it should be made for players too because, this would give us players a more enjoyable experience and not being targeted, if this was added maybe many players will have a better time playing rather than being targeted. I also think that they should make logs for who is disguised.
I've dealt with being targeted on SG for years so it's not like I don't know where you're coming from, but you need to understand the other side of this. There just isn't really any reason for players to get this- it's meant to be a special feature, and there's a reason most servers generally do not give out disguise features with purchasable ranks. It's generally not meant to be something that any normal player can have, it's something exclusive, and personally I don't think "I hate being targeted because I tend to make enemies" is a valid reason to give this type of privilege to such a large range of players.
I have mixed opinions with this, as there is many pros and cons. It would make the game a little more fair, but as Mfallon said above ^ you wouldn't be able to identify the username if you happened to find someone hacking. I also do agree with what seekingattention said above ^ just because you get targeted isn't a valid reason to give this type of privilege; I sort of agree with that in a way also. I believe that this could make the game a little more challenging in a way, and as well remove targeting. Maybe if all names were just completely disabled from showing during death match would be a more ideal addition. Anyways there will probably always be mixed opinions on this topic, but I somewhat agree some type of disguise should be added for many reasons.
